DCB softball has added California twins Vivionna and Vannity Robles to the roster for the 2019-20 season.  Vannity, a lefthander and Vivionna, a righty, play for the Southern California Ruthless 18U team and for Royal High School in Simi Valley.  Both bat right handed and are excellent outfielders.

"The girls have really come on as players this last year playing for a very strong 18U team.  Neither of them is overpowering but they have great stuff.  Good drop, curve and and a great change-up.  I know it sounds like a cliche but they really are mirror images of each other as far as pitchers.  I got to see them up close at a camp and what makes them special is not only their skill but they are really great kids.  Respectful, intelligent, and love softball.  Don't let the smiles confuse you, they are very competitive!  Head Coach Smith.

Both girls carry the same GPA, an impressive 4.2, both bat right handed, both play in the outfield and both wanted to continue their college careers together.  "Thank God one of them is a little taller because you can't tell them apart otherwise," added Smith.

Both girls, to no surprise want to take the same majors in college, Kinesiology/Exercise Science.  Both are looking to be a part of DCB's honor society and Smith is excited to have such quality students.  "The nice thing about a lot of the girls we have been recruiting is they are excellent students.  Playing varsity athletics is challenging and although having good grades in high school is not an assurance of good grades in College, it certainly is beneficial to already have good discipline and study habits."

The 2019 Ladyjacks will begin practising January 10th with a solid roster of 16 players ready to challenge for a spot at the Division III Regionals.  They will begin play February 2nd at the Minot State Bubble as they take on Williston State College at 12:15pm.
