Lumberjack hockey player, Nial Mills (Deloraine, MB) has signed to play for the University of Central Oklahoma Broncos.  The Bronco hockey program competes at the ACHA D1 level and recently won the ACHA D1 National Championship, which was held in Columbus, OH. 

This past year, Mills earned the right to wear the C on his chest and be the captain of the Lumberjack hockey team.  In his career as a Lumberjack, Mills competed in 56 games, scored 36 goals, and had 37 assists.  Not only did he average 4 points per game, Mills was very efficient by having over a +25 for his +/- stats.

Not only was Mills a Back to Back National Champion by winning the 2016 & 2017 NJCAA National Championship, he earned the title as an All American this past year as a sophomore. 

"I am happy for this opportunity to not only continue my academics, but hockey as well" Mills added. "Dakota College and the Lumberjack hockey family was a great start to my career and I am glad I made the decision to come here."

Coach Travis Rybchinski commented on Mills, "Nial was a great asset to our team to help put us back on top.  We are excited for him and eager to see him compete at the next level."
