Jacks Use Deep Ball to Down Tetons

The Lumberjack men's basketball team would hit 14 three pointers enroute to a 87-72 victory over Williston State College Wednesday night.

Lumberjacks would start the game on a 7-0 run. The Tetons would hang around for much of the first half a late run thanks to three pointers from Brendan Redhead, Max Groom, Danny Lazic, and Shaun Armstrong would allow the Jakcs to take an 18 point lead into the half at 48-30. Redhead and Lazic paced the Jacks in the first half with 14 and 12 points respectivly 

In the second half the Jacks would continue to shoot it well from the outsiide in the early going of the half. Late in the half the Tetons would make a run and cut the lead to as close as 19 but the Jacks were to much to overcome winning by a final score of 87-72.

Redhead led all scorers with 24 points including 7 three pointers. Lazic poured in a season high 21 points. Max Groom also reached double figures with 18 points. Benjamin Yombi led the Tetons with 15 points off the bench. 

With the win DCB moves to 12-5 overall and gets back to .500 at 4-4 in the Mon-Dak moving them into fourth place and one game ahead of region foe United Tribes. Next up for the Jacks is Bismarck State College on the road Monday with tipoff scheduled for 7:30p.m.
