Jacks Stampede Over Tetons

The DCB Men's Basketball team would shoot 55% from the field while holding Williston State Tetons to just 31% shooting enroute to a 100-53 win in the regular season finale Sunday afternoon.

The Jacks worked like a well-oiled machine to start the game taking a 18-1 lead early. The Jacks defense stymied the Teton offense holding them without a field goal until 11:53 remained in the first half. The offense rolled with Brendan Redhead scoring 17 first half points and Jacob Smith adding in 12. At the half DCB led 52-18. In the second half the Tetons briefly had an answer for the Jacks defense but did not have an answer for the Jacks offense as Smith scored 14 second half points, Woodson Baptiste scored 10 second half points off the bench, and Redhead and Max Groom each had nine second half points. To lead the Jacks to a 100-53 win. The Jacks distributed the ball well with 29 assists in the game compared to WSC 7. Loukas Triantis led the team with 7 Groom and Jon Rey Taylor each had 5.

Jacob Smith and Brendan Redhead each scored 26 points to lead four Jacks in double-figures. Max Groom had 15 and Woodson Baptiste had a season high 12 points both off the bench. Groom added 12 rebounds for a double-double Abiodum Adedo and Shaheed Muhammad each had 15 to lead WSC.

The Jacks finish the regular season 20-6 overall and 13-8 in the Mon-Dak to finish fourth place. It is the first 20-win season for the program since the 2015-16 season.
