On the ensuing Jacks possession Connor Trahan would get fouled at make two free throws to put DCB out front 95-93. The Thunderbirds would have their opportunity to tie or take the lead but the Jacks would get a critical stop and make the needed free throws to win the game 99-93.

Brendan Redhead led five Jacks in double figures with 26 points, Loukas Triantis added 19, Connor Trahan hit three 3's on his way to 17 points, Jon Rey Taylor had a season-high 13 points, and Jacob Smith also dropped in 13 points. Famous Lefthand led UTTC with 20 points off the bench.
