This allowed the Jacks lead to get up to 14 points at 38-24. The Pioneers found a way to get a few stops and finished the half on a 13-5 run to cut the DCB lead to 6 at 43-37 at halftime.

The Jacks offense kept cooking in the second half, and they ballooned the lead up to twenty at 74-54. MCC had another rally in them as they were able to get the margin under single digits 84-76 with 1:08 to play in the game. DCB would knock down some free throws down the stretch and hold on to win 93-83. DCB finished the game shooting 49% from the field, 47% from beyond the arc, and 22/29 for 75.6% from the free throw line.

The Jacks were led in scoring by Jacob Smith with 28 points, Loukas Triantis added 19 points while going 4/4 from beyond the arc. Max Groom and Brendan Redhead also reached double figures for DCB with 13 and 11 points respectively.

Here is what Coach Sorby had to say about the weekend "a very good weekend for our program after a tough start in Belcourt last Tuesday. We talked about getting 1 victory at this tournament, then when that victory happened, we could not be satisfied with just that 1 win. We had to be hungry for a 2nd victory, and the guys came out on Sunday and proved exactly that. Our two victories were different styles of victories. The Williston game was a low scoring-defensive battle, whereas the Miles CC game kept the scoreboard busy. We have plenty of things that we need to work on, but I am ecstatic for the guys in our locker room to be sitting at 2-1 in the Mon-Dak and tied for 2nd place in the early start. I know this team will be hungry to prepare for Bismarck and NDSCS this weekend."

With the win the Jacks improve to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the Mon-Dak. DCB will play a pair of conference games this weekend. On Friday they will travel to Bismarck State game time is set for 7:30p.m Sunday will serve as the home opener for DCB as the welcome the Wildcats of NDSCS tip off set for 3:00p.m.
