The 2019-20 Lumberjack's men's basketball team have began their season with a 4-4 record.  They opened up the season with 6 games in 9 days.  That string began with the pre-conference Mon-Dak tournament where they finished 6th, beating United Tribes while losing to defending MonDak champion Williston State College and Miles City Community College.  After a win against Turtle Mountain Community College, the Jacks completed in the Sleep Inn Shootout in Devils Lake, North Dakota, losing to NJCAA Division 1 member Gillette College and defeating the University of Jamestown JV program.

This past weekend DCB hosted the Super 8 Cobblestone Classic, their regular season tournament that returned to the Woodshed after a year hiatus.  On Friday, November 15th, the Jacks played Canadian Mennonite University, winning a high scoring affair 118-91.  DCB had a setback on Saturday, however, losing to Sisseton Wahpeton College 92-71.

Coach Lemon had this to say about the first 8 games; "We've talked a lot about playing for a full 40 mins. We don't think we've done it yet, we've come close but haven't put it all together yet.  We did not play well this past Saturday, but I feel like we are moving in the right direction."

The Jacks are now off until Thanksgiving night when they play McCook Community College in the Foss Motors Thanksgiving Classic in Casper, Wyoming.  DCB will play 3 strong NJCAA Division 1 opponents in that tournament, then will compete in a tournament in Wahpeton, ND the following weekend to end the first semester.  Their next home game will be in January as they will host United Tribes Technical College on the 16th of that month.
