MBB opens up friday afternoon

The 2019-20 Jacks men's basketball season begins Friday afternoon with a contest against Williston State College in the MonDak Pre-Season Tournament at Four Bears Casino in New Town, ND.  Tip off is at 3:30 PM.

The game will be livestreamed at this link.

WSC had a great season last year, winning the MonDak regular season and tournament titles and qualifying for the NJCAA Division 1 men's basketball national tournament.  They lost most of their scoring from last season, but are always a tough team with newcomers ready to make an impact in 2019-20.

DCB finished 7-24 last year, but had a good year recruiting and returns 2 veterans who logged a lot of playing time last year in Tyriek Johnson and Jackson Johnson.  Tyriek Johnson averaged 11.3 ppg last winter while Jackson Johnson chipped in with 7 ppg.  The Jacks had a good pre-season and played well against some top notch competition in their scrimmages in Colorado.  They played several solid NJCAA D1 programs in that scrimmage.

From Head Coach Brock Lemon.  "We should be a fun and intense squad to watch."

After this weekend's tournament, the Jacks will play on the road again at Turtle Mountain CC and in the Lake Region tournament before hosting Canadian Mennonite University and Sisseton Wahpeton College in their home openers on November 15th and 16th as part of the DCB Classic basketball tournament.  Those will be their only home games until after the New Year.  You can find the complete 2019-20 schedule here.
