DCB Basketball Adds Final Piece

The DCB Lumberjacks Men's basketball team finished the 2019-20 recruiting class this past week with the signing of Dongrin Deng.

Deng is from Austin, Minnesota where he attended Austin High School. He helped lead the Packers to a 24-6 overall record and a third place finish in the State tournament. He finished his senior year averaging 6.1 PPG 3.6 RPG 2.6 APG and 2.4 SPG.  His junior year he helped the Packers to a 4th place finish at States.

Coach Lemon had this to say about Deng, "He comes from a very successful high school program. He's not really known as a scorer, but I think he will surprise a lot of people with his ability to shoot the basketball. He has a quick release and is able to step back from behind the arc and knock them down consistently. He wasn't really asked to score much on his high school team due to the guys he was playing alongside with. The big thing about that caught my eyes was his ability to disrupt ball handlers with his pressure and his length to disrupt passing lanes. He averaged close to 3 steals a game which is very good. He never stops playing hard. I have the utmost confidence that he's going to be able to impact the game on this next level."

Welcome to the Jacks Family Dongrin!!
