Men's Basketball Adds 4 to 2019-20 Roster

Men's head basketball coach Brock Lemon has announced the signing of four impressive new players for the 2019-20 season.

Fernando Murillo Moreno played in the Fuenlabrada & Spanish Basketball Academy; which is the top performance academy in Europe. Moreno played in the first division of his age level against top competition. He was in the same league as Real Madrid. He was considered as one of the top 10 players in Europe with the Spanish Basketball Academy.

Coach Lemon had this to say about Fernando; "Fernando is 6'6 with long arms and legs. His length will be a huge asset for us this coming year. He's more of a slasher type of player offensively, I think once he gets used to the pace of the game over here, he will be ready to take off second semester. I found out about Fernando from a former DCB Lumberjack Alex Majarín (brother of Rodrigo who just graduated from DCB this past year); Alex has been working hard over in Spain with his coaching career and has taken over as GM for the Spanish Basketball Academy."

Devonire Glass is from Gary, IN. He finished his High School career at Lighthouse College Prep Academy. Glass comes to DCB after spending last year at Allen Community College in Kansas.

Coach Lemon had high praises for Devonire; "Devonire Glass is a BIG TIME athlete. I know a few coaches who had nothing but high praise for Devonire. He also played AAU with current Lumberjack Tyriek Johnson and new commit Kobe Clancy. His athleticism should bring a lot of excitement to the Woodshed. He's 6'7 maybe 6'8 that can handle the ballit and shoot it. I expect him to be one of our leaders on the boards and to be able to use his length to get deflections and help us get out on the break. I think this is just the beginning for Mr. Glass, the sky is the limit for this young man. I'm very excited to get him on campus. He also adds to our experience of having another guy that's been through it."

Kobe Clancy comes to us from Indianapolis, IN. Clancy spent this past year at a Prep school in Ohio, after graduating from Scecina Memorial High School in Indianapolis.

Coach Lemon said this about Kobe; "the thing that stood out to me the most about Kobe was his length and his motor. This guy is relentless! His biggest strength to me outside of his motor, has to be his length. He's around 6'2 or 6'3 but his wing span is closer to 6'9 and that's pretty impressive for a guard. He plays passing lanes extremely well, and offensively he can get to the basket when he wants. He played AAU with A few of the guys so he shouldn't have any issue fitting in. He's a super polite young man and he comes from a winning program, so I couldn't be more excited about Kobe's arrival on campus this August."

Luka Dragovic comes to Bottineau all the way from Serbia. Luka is a 6'9 big man who recently redshirted this past year at Faulkner University (NAIA).

"Luka is not only a terrific basketball player, he also is bringing in a high GPA and has a 29 on his ACT. So he should fit in well and help us continue success in the classroom (9 guys over a 3.0 this past year). He also will help us out down low obviously with his size. He's just not a big man though, he can handle it on the perimeter and step outside and knock down shots with good range. His skill set is very high! I've enjoyed getting to know Luka a great deal.  He is a polite, charismatic young man. He had some really good schools looking at him to transfer too, thankfully he picked us! Luka should end up graduating and be able to move on to a 4 year school of his choosing if he wants after this year."
