They were 9.7 seconds away from a huge win against a MonDak Division I opponent.  A last second three-pointer sent the game into overtime where eventually the Jacks (6-15) basketball team would drop a heartbreaking 97-96 game to Miles Community College (10-11).

The game was close throughout with the Jacks taking a 37-35 lead into the break.  With top scorer Tyree Johnson on the shelf the Jacks picked up the slack and played a solid game against a Division I opponent.  To put things into perspective the Jacks lost to this same Miles team in November by 31 points.

Dwaine Simmons was a force throughout the game.  He was the team's top scorer with 27, and top rebounder with 12.  Sleek shooting Rodrigo Majarin has increased his offensive input the last half dozen games and poured in 23 on this night, 12 coming form three-point land.  Faysal Coulibaly has seen increased floor time with the absence of Johnson and scored 14 last night in 29 minutes of action.

The Jacks will host Williston State College on Monday January 28 at 7:30pm.   Williston is 12-8 on the season and defeated Dawson Community college last night 79-69 in Glendive, MT.
