DCB tops Jamestown JV 93-86

The DCB Lumberjacks Men's basketball team got a breakout performance by Sophomore Forward Dwaine Simmons en route to a 93-86 win over Jamestown University JVs.  Simmons scored a season high 27 and added 12 rebounds to lead the Jacks in both categories.  Team scoring leader Tyrie Johnson added 26 as the two combined for over half of the teams points.  

Simmons, from Turks and Caicos, is the team's top rebounder so far this season averaging 6.2 per game.  He has been contributing more on offense the last several games and will be counted on for big minutes once the team begins conference play after the break.  

The Jacks will next see action January 4-5 in Thief River Falls at the Northland CTC Classic as they take on Canadian Mennonite University and Northland CTC.  They kick off their MonDak conference schedule with a game at home Thursday January 10th versus Lake Region State College.  Game time is 7:30pm
