Lumberjacks Win in New Town

The Dakota College at Bottineau men's basketball team traveled to New Town, ND on Tuesday, November 28th, to take on Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College. The Lumberjacks left New Town with a blowout victory with a score of 120-60. The Jacks now have 10 wins and 0 losses on the season.

The leading scorer for the Jacks was Turks and Caicos own, Dwaine Simmons. He finished the game with 15 points and 5 rebounds. The scoring was very balanced among the group with 9 players reaching double figures for DCB. Deylon Hunt played a big role in the offensive attack setting up various Jacks players and finishing the game with 13 assists and 11 points. Jordell Ross had a team high 9 rebounds. Ross finished the game with 12 points on 4 made 3 pointers. It was a great game for the Lumberjacks to work on their execution on both ends of the floor.

The Jacks are in action again on Saturday, December 2nd. They will be hosting Canadian Mennonite University at 4 PM following the women's contest. These two teams met back in late October for a scrimmage contest. It was a fairly balanced affair between the two respected colleges and should make for an exciting contest on Saturday.
