Lumberjacks Move to 8-0

The Dakota College at Bottineau men's basketball team played two games over the weekend at home against Sisseton Wahpeton College and Red River Community College. The Jacks were able to beat Sisseton Wahpeton Friday night in a fast paced game with a score of 119-91. On Saturday, DCB blew out Red River CC with a final score of 112-69. The Lumberjacks are now 8-0 on the season.

Jibril Wyckoff led the Jacks in scoring Friday night against Sisseton Wahpeton with 26 points. Steven Freeman added 20 points and set up numerous Jacks with 8 assists. Antonio Singleton got hot in the second half finishing the game with 18 points and leading the Jacks in rebounding with 8. 

It was the Jordell Ross show in the first half against Red River CC, scoring 28 points and making 8 3's. He would finish the game with 28 points and 7 rebounds. Ross was able to spark an early lead for the Jacks and they never looked back leading by 44 at the half. Jibril Wyckoff would have another 20 point game finishing with 23. Raybon Lewis was the rebound leader for the Jacks snatching 9. He also scored 12 points for the Jacks. Steven Freeman and Deylon both finished the game with 5 assists each. 

The Lumberjacks are in action again on Tuesday, November 21st. They will host Trinity Bible College (Ellendale, ND). The game time is set for 7:30 PM following the girls game that starts at 5:30 PM.
