Hired in July of 2018, the Bottineau native and BHS graduate returned home in hopes of continuing recent Lumberjack success on the field.

LaCroix is a graduate of Minot State University with a degree in Social Studies Education. At MSU, Mark played 3 seasons with the Beavers, compiling a 4-1 record his senior season on the mound. In his junior season at Minot State, LaCroix tore his rotator cuff in two different locations but battled back to make his senior season possible. Before Minot State, LaCroix spent two years at Williston State College. There he received his AA degree and was named Team Captain of the baseball team his sophomore year. In his time at WSC LaCroix was the closer for the Tetons and saw time in right field and behind the plate. In his time playing in college at both WSC and MSU, LaCroix was conference All-Academic Team four times.

Mark has coached at many different levels of baseball from the age of 6 all the way up to 25. He has coached for Bottineau High School, the Bottineau American Legion, and Bottineau Babe Ruth. He served as a part-time pitching coach at Dakota College in the fall of 2017. LaCroix has also coached High School basketball. Mark also serves as the Housing Director at DCB.

Mark is the son of Arlene and the late Jerry LaCroix of Bottineau and has two siblings, Laura and Chris. He also has a daughter, Brynlee.
