The past few weeks the Lumberjacks have been hard at work on the field, while putting things together for next season. Head Baseball Coach Mark LaCroix signed four athletes to the roster for the fall of 2019.

Josh Lowery, Tyson Aburto, Erik Lemberg, and Josh Churchill will all bring something different to the Lumberjacks next season.

Josh Churchill and Tyson Aburto will be welcome additions to the Lumberjacks pitching staff. Both will compete for places in the rotation. Aburto is a right handed pitcher from Filmore High School in Filmore, Utah.  Churchill hails from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Churchill attended St. Aloyisus Gonzaga High School, where he posted a 6-2 record with an ERA of 2.35. Churchill is a product of the Ontario Royals program.

The Lumberjacks also addressed the need a need in the outfield.  Look no further then Josh Lowery and Erik Lemberg. Lowery will be coming to Bottineau from Great Falls, Montana. Coach Lacroix describes him as "a special player. He will be used like a Swiss army knife, meaning he will be a great fit for the Lumberjacks everywhere and anywhere."  Lemberg, like Churchill, will be another Canadian joining the Lumberjacks in the fall. Lemberg is from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. "Lemberg is a fast athlete with the ability to get great reads and jumps on the ball'" added Lacroix.  Lemberg expressed great excitement in coming to Dakota College this fall and can't wait to make his way over the border.

"All four of these baseball players are going to make an impact on the Lumberjacks right away when they come onto campus this fall," stated Lacroix.   They will be joining a Lumberjacks team that is currently 3-3 and heading into some of the biggest games of the season this weekend in Williston against their rival the Williston State Tetons.  The weekend will be followed by a 7 game home stand against Northland, Miles City, and Winnipeg 18U.
