Bottineau native Mark LaCroix has been named Head Baseball Coach at Dakota College at Bottineau.  The young coach will inherit a Jacks program coming off one of their most successful seasons ever and is eager for the opportunity at DCB.

LaCroix was a 3 sport standout at Bottineau High School and is still the Braves' all time leading scorer in basketball as well as their all time pitching leader in wins.  After BHS, he played two seasons at Williston State College, serving as team captain in 2014 as well as a member of the MonDak All-Academic Team.  LaCroix finished his career at Minot State University, serving as a relief pitcher for the Beavers and being named to the All-NSIC academic team during his time in the Magic City.

Mark served as coach of the Bottineau Diamond Slugs baseball team from 2010 through this past season.  This summer, the Diamond Slugs won their first Turtle Mountain League championship since 2012 and finished 2-2 in the Babe Ruth State tournament.  LaCroix has also coached with the Bottineau Legion and had some experience this past winter helping the pitchers at DCB.  Mark served as Head Boys Basketball Coach at Our Redeemers High School in Minot this past season, leading the Knights to a 13-4 record and a 3rd place finish in the NDHSAA Region 6 tournament.  He also has been an assistant coach at Minot Bishop Ryan High School.

In addition to his baseball duties, Mark will serve as head resident of Milligan Hall and Director of Intramurals at DCB.  He will also coach football for the Lumberjacks this fall.

Welcome Mark to DCB.
