Jacks Take 2 at Williston

DCB Baseball defeated Williston State twice on Thursday out in Williston. The Jacks got back at the Tetons as WSC had taken 2 from the Jacks in front of the DCB home crowd Wednesday.  Williston State had entered the game unbeaten in the MonDak before the Jacks picked up 2 5 inning wins, defeating the Tetons 15-5 and 13-2

In game 1 Eduardo Vega picked up the victory with 5 solid innings, allowing 8 hits and 5 runs. Carter Sorenson threw a solid 6th to get the 10 run rule enforced.  Dylan Dougher went 3-5 at the plate and had a 2 run homer to tie the game at 3-3.  DCB scored eight runs in the fifth as Joseph Rosado, Dougher, Feeney, Moormeier and Jordan Welcome all drove in runs in the inning.  Victor Terrero hit his 11th home run of the year in his first at bat and has now had a home run in each of his last 5 games.

In game 2 DCB beat Williston 13-2. Feeney knocked in 2 runs with a double in the first to get the Jacks on a roll.  The Jacks then put up 5 in the fourth led by Dougher, Terrero, Welcome, and Lownds all driving in runs.  Overall, DCB collected 14 hits as Welcome, Dougher, Sumstine and Feeney all had multiple hit days.  JJ Castelvecchi picked up the win allowing 6 hits and 2 runs over 5 innings, striking out 4 and walking only 1.

DCB is now 4-6 league and 21-9 overall going into a weekend series with Lake Region. The Jacks baseball and softball teams go to Lake Region Saturday.  Sunday the Jacks will be at the Lumberyard for home games against Lake Region at 1 and 3pm. The ladyjacks will be at Tommy Turtle Park at 1 and 3 also.
