Ladyjacks Swept by ACC

The DCB Ladyjacks hockey team dropped a pair of games this past weekend to ACC. Saturday DCB fell 4-2 and Saturday the Ladyjacks were held scoreless falling 6-0.

4-2 Loss

The Cougars got on the board first scoring one goal in the first. ACC added three goals in the second to take a 4-0 lead into the final period. DCB was able to cut the deficit in half scoring two third period goals, but the rally would not be enough. The two Ladyjacks goals were scored by Jenna Moormann and Michelle LandsverkZoe Cupples, Abby Forrest, and Trinity Tanner were credited with assists.

6-0 loss

The Ladyjacks were unable to get anything going offensively day two and struggled to stop the Cougars offensive attack. ACC outshot the Ladyjacks 49-28 in the contest. On the weekend goalie Kara Zelyck saw 99 shots on goal and gave up 10 for .899 save percentage.

With the losses the Ladyjacks fall to 2-2 overall. DCB has three games this coming week traveling to Jamestown Wednesday to take on the Jimmies. Then Saturday and Sunday the Ladyjacks will take on the University of Minnesota Duluth in St Paul, MN.
