Jacks Season Ends at West Region Tournament

The Lumberjack men's hockey team saw their season come to an end at the West Region Tournament with a 4-2 loss to Denver Friday night.

There was no scoring until 7:08 remaining in the first period when the Pioneers found the back of the net. Denver didn't hold the lead for long as Matt Olson would tie the game less than two minutes later, Jace Thompson snagged the assist. Denver retook the lead just 18 seconds into the second period. Ethan Siemens tied the game with 12:09 remaining in the second period, Fabian Vik dished the assist. Late in the third period the Pioneers would break the tie. Three minutes later Denver would add an empty netter to put the game away and ending the Lumberjacks season. The Pioneers won the game 4-2. The Lumberjacks season ends with a record of 16-15-1-2. Leighton Holstein was named to the ACHAM2 All American 3rd team in the West Region.
