DCB Hockey had a wonderful start to the 2019-20 season this past weekend, defeating the University of Jamestown ACHA D2 program twice. The Jacks defeated the Jimmies 6-3 Saturday night in Jamestown, then came back on Sunday with a 5-2 victory over UJ in the home opener at the Lumberdome.
On Saturday in Jamestown, DCB raced out to a 3-1 lead in the first period and never looked back. Riley Olson and Phillip Parisien each scored 2 goals for the Jacks, while Tucker Alspaugh and Zane McDonald added goals as well.
Sunday in Bottineau, Jamestown took a 1-0 lead after 1 period before DCB tied the game halfway through the second on a PP goal by Zane McDonald. After the 2nd period ended 1-1, DCB scored on a short handed goal by Kyle Wahoski, a goal by Robert Guimond redirecting a shot from Jack Dunnell, and a second short handed goal from Guimond again.
The Jacks, now 2-0 on the year, will head to Blaine, Minnesota (twin cities) and the National Sports Center this weekend for 3 games in the WCCHA Challenge Showcase. Check out the schedule on our website for game times.
