Jacks Hockey Drops 5-2 Decision to Rival Williston State

17 days off was just what the doctor ordered for the DCB Lumberjacks hockey team.  Facing numerous injuries the team needed some time off after a busy November schedule.  The Jacks were back in action last night at the Lumberdome rested, but rusty.  The team looked like a team that hadn't played in a while dropping a 5-2 decision to Williston State College in front of a large home crowd.

The Jacks hit the scoresheet first on a 1st period goal by Kyle Peters despite being outshot 12-9.  Williston tied the game early in the 2nd, only to have the Jacks take the lead just two minutes later on a goal by Wade Thompson.  From that point on the Tetons outshot the Jacks and relied on solid goaltending from James Grosklaus.  The Tetons would score two goals in the second and two in the third, the last an empty net goal, to hand the Jacks their 6th loss of the season.

The Jacks are still shorthanded with several players nursing injuries and sickness.  The team looks to bounce back Friday night (Dec. 7) in Williston.  Game time is 7:00pm at the Pete Conlin Rink at the Raymond Center.
