Jacks Hockey Impressive in Game #3 of the Beehive Classic in Utah.

A balanced attack and solid goaltending lead the DCB Lumberjacks (6-5) to a 5-2 win over Grand Canyon University (8-11-1) Saturday on day 3 of the Beehive Showcase Tournament in Utah.  

Five different Jacks found the net in the victory.  Minnedosa, Manitoba's Kyle Wahoski opened the scoring at the 15:18 mark taking a pass from Blake Carpenter.  GCU tied it soon after and the period ended knotted at one. 

DCB scored the only goals of the second period.  Dryden Bound, assisted by Colin Van Kommer put the Jacks up 2-1.  Just a minute and 40 seconds later Kolby Chen scored on a delayed penalty to GCU.  3-1 Jacks to end the second. 

GCU came out strong to start the third and actually out shot the Jacks in the first 10 minutes.  Goaltender Jay Pringle, making the start after his first day off, was solid throughout the game.  Logan Robinson would put the Jacks up by three on a goal assisted by Van Kommer and Daniel Nomerstad.  GCU would cut the lead in half scoring with just under 7 minutes left.  The Jacks would put it out of reach with a goal by Blake Carpenter with just 4:17 left to play.  Danny Gaudreault and Bailey Robertson picked up the assists.  

Pringle stopped stopped 35 shots for his 6th win of the year. 

The Jacks play their last game in the Beehive Showcase Sunday (Nov. 18) at 2:00pm local time as they take on Utah State University.
