Green-White Game goes to a Shootout

Wednesday night, October 18th, saw Team White win the 17th annual Media Cup Green vs White game in a shootout.

Kyler Moore (Firestone, CO) scored the only goal in the shootout to seal the victory for the Bottineau Courant's Matthew Semisch.

DCB's Goaltenders rotated for each team during the night.  Dillon Beaudoin (Wakaw, SK) had 26 saves with 4 goals allowed.  Connor Slipp (Calgary, AB) had 23 saves and 3 goals allowed, and Jay Pringle (Boissevain, MB) finished with 19 saves and 5 goals allowed. Harrison Aide (Bottineau, ND) led Team Green with 2 goals and 2 assists.  Josh Colleaux (Minot, ND) had 2 goals, Cody Longie (Bottineau, ND) scored one, and Kolby Chen (Deloraine, MB) also chipped in with a goal for the Green Team which was coached by Sunny 101.9 FM's Rick Gustafson and Dylan. 

Team White was lead by Tyrell Pompu (Carrot River, SK) with a pair of goals, Wade Thompson (Killarney, MB), Kyler Moore, Jonathan Sundell (Katrineholm, Sweden) and Zach Garrett (Creighton, SK) each chipped in with a goal. The Lumberjacks would like to thank The Courant newspaper and Sunny 101.9 FM for their participation in the game as well as all of the students who came to the game. Many of whom which saw hockey live for the first time.
