The Dakota College of Bottineau Lumberjacks hockey team kicked off its season with a game against the Boissevain Border Kings up in Canada on Tuesday, October 24th.  Goalie and Boissevain native Jay Pringle made 44 saves to get the victory. Harrison Aide (Bottineau, ND) and Zach Garrett (Creighton, SK) added goals in the first to give the Jacks a 3-1 lead after one period.  Goals from Pompu, Josh Colleaux (Minot, ND) and Kyle Peters (Killarney, MB) helped the Jacks keep the lead after the second period, 6-5.
